History

Pat Crawford bought the barn on August 1, 1956 and turned it into “The Pat Crawford Jukebox.”  Dances were so popular at the Canoe Club on Edinboro Lake that Pat needed a bigger place.  So he created the Jukebox which was the main barn for the Billings farm when all of Lakeside was a farm. In 1957 Pat put the wood floor in himself with the help of a good friend, Norm Perry.  In addition to dances, there were pool tables, bingo games, and an ice cream bar.  The Jukebox was open every summer until 1967.  The Jukebox was reopened in about 1975 as a teenage nightclub with pool tables, ping pong tables, and video games.  Pat also hosted parties and rented the Barn out for special occasions.  The Jukebox closed again in the early 1980’s, but reopened once more in 1992.
